This October, the UK’s leading packaging and print companies will unveil their latest new products at Packaging Innovations London, taking place at the Business Design Centre on 1 & 2 October, and co-located with Luxury Packaging and the Brand & Design Village.
The show features all the latest packaging designs, solutions, trends and developments, and is compiled to inspire packaging professionals, brand owners and marketers, offering them solutions to help move their products to that next level. The Contract Pack area of the show also provides the perfect place to meet professional outsourcing partners.
Major names including Abbey Labels, Colour Engine, Smurfit Kappa, Dapy-Do International, Gmund, Favini, Neenah Paper, Studio 404, Esko, YRG Group, Innovia Films, Royston Labels and Sappi Europe SA are among the 165-plus companies making up an exciting blend of international and home-grown packaging suppliers at this year’s show. First and foremost, visitors come to be inspired – to spot new ideas, concepts and suppliers from right across the packaging supply chain – and there’s plenty to motivate visitors attending the 2013 show, with 80% of exhibitors showing new products.
Alongside will be an inspiring line-up of speakers in the free learnShops programme; including major brand case studies such as Neal’s Yard Remedies, Bombay Sapphire, Innocent, Unilever, Kimberly Clark, Marks & Spencer, Blackberry, Pepsico, Miracle-Gro, West End Drinks, Better All Round, and new brand T-Tox. The show will also feature its first ever Beauty Symposium, run on 1 October in association with The Red Tree Consultancy. The high-level, yet highly practical, line-up of beauty experts will discuss, inspire, surprise and inform on how to accelerate growth and build a successful beauty business. Speakers include Helen Miller, former Commercial Director of Boots UK beauty businesses, and Judy Deuchar, ex-VP of Merchandising for QVC UK.
Always a popular show feature is the BIG Packaging Debate, where a panel of packaging professionals debate the topic ‘Online sales will kill packaging design’. As Internet shopping becomes set to change the way consumers shop for a long time to come, the debate tackles how packaging design is going to have to adapt to meet the consumers’ and retailers’ needs, and analysing what role packaging designers will play in the future. The panel of packaging experts, including M&S, Innocent, Faraday Centre for Retail Excellence, Design Activity and the IOPP, will debate and field questions from the audience in what is set to be a lively discussion.
