Folie d’Oc Rosé has become the first wine available in France to offer its drinkers the convenience and style of Helix, the bottle with a cork that opens and closes easily. The result of more than four years’ research and development by O-I, a global provider of glass packaging, and the global cork provider, Amorim, Helix combines natural cork with a glass bottle featuring an internal thread. This means it can be opened and resealed repeatedly without using a corkscrew, while preserving the qualities of the wine. Folie d’Oc represents a marriage between Domaine Guizard, a historic family of Languedoc winemakers established in 1580, and Megavins, a famous wine retailer with four cellars in the Montpellier region.
