Global brand design consultancy Elmwood, is delighted to announce the appointment of Helen Taylor, former Marketing Director at leading consumer healthcare brand Seven Seas, to the position of Client Services Director at its global headquarters in Leeds.
With over 15 years client-side experience within the FMCG sector, including stints at Warburton’s, McVities, United Biscuits, Young’s Seafood and most recently, Seven Seas, Helen brings with her an unrivalled insight into the challenges faced by brand owners, along with expertise in brand innovation, re- positioning and new product development.
The rare and exciting move follows a number of recent client-side and non- agency hires to the Elmwood senior team, including ex-Kimberley-Clark Marketing Director Jon White, who was appointed MD of its London studio. As well as Phil Ore, previously Head of Marketing at Nokia, now MD of Elmwood’s Melbourne studio, and also Juliana Glassman, a management consultant at Scott Madden, who is now MD of Elmwood’s New York studio. This latest hire of Helen Taylor further underpins Elmwood’s commitment to ambitious growth and the expansion of a game-changing leadership team.
In her previous role at Seven Seas, part of Merck Pharmaceuticals, Helen commissioned Elmwood to work on the redesign of the flagship Cod Liver Oil portfolio, following the hugely successful brand identity work carried out in 2012. Helen praised Elmwood’s approach and strategy to the redesign. The product received positive consumer and trade reactions with the strong red identity generating impact at point of sale, and further enhancing the premium positioning of the brand.
Following graduation from Manchester Metropolitan University, Helen went on to hold a number of key marketing and communications roles within the industry. Most notably, Marketing Manager for Warburton’s, Marketing & Innovations Controller for McVities and Head of UK Sales at Seven Seas, before moving into her most recent role of Marketing Director at Seven Seas.
