Benson Group have launched an exciting design competition in partnership with one of the UK’s favourite popcorn brand Butterkist.
Benson Group is challenging students with a passion for product design to come up with a new eye-catching carton for Butterkist’s current microwave popcorn range.
Student’s must impress the panel by creating innovative carton packaging that is in keeping with the brand guidelines and maintains a strong shelf presence. The design should be cost effective, tamper-evident and encourage family and friends to share the product during movie night at home.

The competition is open to part- or full-time students currently enrolled at a college, college of the arts or university in the UK or overseas, who must register by 1st November 2013 while their physical entry must arrive in the week commencing the 4th November 2013. Entries entered after this period will not be considered in the judging process.
The winner will receive one week’s work experience at the Benson Group Design Studio and a £250 cash prize. They will also be invited to visit Butterkist’s head office in Pontefract, which will include a tour of the famous popcorn factory. Runners up will each receive an Award Certificate and goody bag of Butterkist products.
