BEUMER: Efficient and highly productive

With the BEUMER fillpac bag filling machine, the BEUMER paletpac high-performance layer palletizer and the BEUMER stretch hood high-performance packaging machine, the intralogistics specialist has a range of customized and modular solutions in its portfolio. These enable users to fill and stack their products efficiently, and package the units reliably. BEUMER also offers a wide range of modules for fully automatic product feed, the supply of empty pallets and the transportation of loaded pallets.

The BEUMER fillpac R bag filling machine is designed for capacities from 300 to 6,000 bags per hour. It can process all kinds of bags and, with a special placer, even fill HDPE bags. The filling impeller has now been enlarged, permitting higher throughput and thus faster filling. The three-position cylinder, which controls coarse and fine feed, is protected against dust as it is located vertically and outside the contaminated area. The bag discharge cylinder is also situated in the dust-free area above the filling spout. This solution reduces wear on both cylinders and thus ensures a longer service life. BEUMER has also equipped the optimized filling machine with an automatic bag weight correction system which automatically adjusts the weights of subsequent bags.

The BEUMER Group’s portfolio includes layer palletizers which are used both in the basic and in the high-performance range for filling bags with bulk material. The flexible BEUMER paletpac high-performance layer palletizer stacks paper, PE and PP bags on pallets of all common sizes with accuracy and stability. The user can quickly and easily set the required parameters. The BEUMER paletpac is equipped with a bar, clamp or double-belt turning device depending on the product requirements. These specially designed modular components bring the filled bags quickly and gently into the required position.

With the robotpac, BEUMER offers a space-saving, fully automatic articulated robot which is able to perform complex palletizing and depalletizing tasks reliably and efficiently. Containers such as bags, cartons, boxes, canisters and trays can be stacked safely and economically. BEUMER has developed appropriate, flexibly exchangeable gripper systems for every packaged product.

The BEUMER stretch hood high-performance packaging machine packages these stacked bags quickly, reliably and permanently with high-quality stretch films, and is designed for a number of film thicknesses. The BEUMER stretch hood technology protects palletized products against the effects of the weather, dust and moisture, even when stored outdoors. The high film quality ensures that goods are not scratched or damaged. The stretch hoods, which are produced in the form of a tube, are highly extendable. This results in high film restoring forces with permanent tension which securely fix the packaged product to the pallet both horizontally and vertically. The outstanding stretchability also reduces the use of film and ensures a smooth surface which is excellent for displays thanks to the high film transparency.

The BEUMER stretch hood is used successfully in different industries for the reliable packaging of bags of chemical granulates, cement or building materials stacked on pallets. Other products that can be packaged include paving stones, roofing tiles and bricks, beverage containers such as kegs, trays and cartons, “white goods” such as washing machines and refrigerators, buckets, newspapers and periodicals and even jumbo units of insulating material products.
