Packer Products has agreed an exclusive partnership with packaging manufacturer Joinpack to offer a new range of strapping machines for the UK market.

The two companies are working together to commercialise six new machines to suit a variety of different applications and budgets.

Based in Taiwan, Joinpack has been a world-leading manufacturer of packaging equipment since 1973. From heavy-duty machinery through to hand tools and packaging consumables, the company is committed to providing the best possible solutions for the packaging industry.

Tim Steer, Packer’s Commercial Manager, met Joinpack’s team at the Interpack trade fair in 2017. At this time, Joinpack was looking for a UK partner.

Mr Eric Fang, Joinpack’s MD, said: “We believe in doing business honestly, and we wanted to find a partner with a similar philosophy ñ which wasn’t easy.

“We needed the right partner; a business with quality, service, and a good market position.”

A relationship between the two businesses was quickly established, and it became clear that Packer and Joinpack shared a number of business values. The partnership was agreed soon after.

Tim Steer said: “It”s been great working alongside Joinpack to secure such a high-quality range of machines.

“We’re really looking forward to bringing something different to the UK market.”

The range of strapping machines spans open cabinet, semi-automatic models, through to fully automatic machines with alternative arch size options. Fully CE certified and under the RoHS directive, these new machines are exclusively available through Packer in the UK.

Joinpack has been in business for over 40 years, and in that time has built a solid reputation among its customers in over 60 countries.

The company launched its first strapping machine in 1976, and now operates across five locations in Taiwan and China.

Joinpack became the first company in Asia to be awarded ISO-9002 certification in 1996, as a result of its commitment to meeting and maintaining industry standards. It was also listed as one of the top 2500 exporters in Taiwan in the same year.

Joinpack now operates under the ISO-9001:2008 certification, which requires ongoing evaluation and appraisal of the business to ensure that it meets the standards required.
